Beyond Mimosa: Navigating the 2026 New Clark City Golf Boom
If you’ve already used our Clark Budget Golf Guide to master the fairways of Mimosa Plus and Sun Valley, you might think you’ve seen all that Pampanga has to offer. But as of April 2026, the map is expanding.
While the established courses in the Freeport Zone remain the gold standard for value, New Clark City (NCC) has officially arrived. With the opening of Hann Reserve in early 2026, the Philippines now has its first PGA-affiliated destination.

But here’s the big question for the Budget Golfer: Does “Luxury” mean we’re priced out, or is this the start of a new value era?
The 2026 “New Clark” Landscape
The development at Hann Reserve is massive—450 hectares of “eco-luxury.” But don’t let the branding scare you. Unlike the private clubs in Manila, the first two major courses here are open to the public.
- Dragons Landing (Nicklaus Design): Opened in early 2026, this is a mountaintop links-style course. It offers the kind of dramatic elevation changes and Zambales mountain views that usually cost a fortune in the US or Europe.
- 6 Moons (K.J. Choi Design): Following closely behind, this course focuses on precision and blending with native vegetation. It’s a “Boring Golf” dream—rewarding those who play for position rather than power.
The “Budget Splurge” Math
Let’s look at the numbers. While a round at Mimosa Plus remains a steal at ~SGD 85–120, the new prestige courses come with a “splurge” price tag.
| Course | 2026 Weekday Rate (Approx) | Experience Level |
| Mimosa Plus (Acacia/Mountain) | SGD 90 – SGD 110 | Established, reliable, high-value. |
| Hann Reserve (Dragons Landing) | SGD 315 – SGD 400 | Premium, PGA-standard, “Bucket List.” |
The Strategy: In 2026, the play is the “1-2-1” Weekend.
- Play your “warm-up” and “cool-down” rounds at the affordable classics like Beverly Place or Mimosa.
- Use your middle day for a “Special Occasion” round at Hann Reserve.
Logistics: The 20-Minute Shortcut
The biggest game-changer for 2026 isn’t a club—it’s a road. The Airport to New Clark City Access Road (ANAR) is now fully operational.
- Old Way: Driving from Clark Airport to the New Clark City courses took nearly an hour through local traffic.
- 2026 Way: You can now go from the terminal to the first tee of Dragons Landing in 20 minutes.
This means you can keep your “base camp” at the affordable 4-star hotels like Quest Plus or Royce (from our Original Guide) and easily commute to the new courses without moving hotels.
Verdict: Is New Clark City for us?
If you are a member of the PGS or just a Singaporean golfer looking for a 3-day escape, New Clark City adds a layer of “prestige” that was previously missing.
While the green fees at the new PGA courses are higher, they are still significantly cheaper than a round at Sentosa or a premium resort in Bintan once you factor in the local costs. Plus, the opening of these new “Luxury” spots is keeping the pressure on the older courses to stay competitive with their weekday deals.
